Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries is committed to assisting  at risk students with their emotional and spiritual growth through a healthy long- term mentoring relationship.We know that their future success also depends on their academic success. Academic success difficult for children that live in poverty and crisis there are many obstacles facing them daily by their living conditions or being without basic necessities. Our Stand By Me mentoring ministry will be launching a program SUMMER 2012
called Stand By Me Academy,which will give children currently in the SBM mentoring program an opportunity to participate in an exciting academic recovery program.   Without this opportunity these students will not reach their full God given potential.

The Stand By Me Summer Academy, will be an innovative education program integrated with computer software  and life skills development targeting students in grades 7-12.  These at-risk students are frequently behind academically and socially and live in crisis because of issues they daily encounter such as poverty, broken family relationships, absent fathers, and repeated poor choices. The seven-week program is designed to accelerate the youth beyond their current grade level.  Students will also have the opportunity to interact with local government officials, hear motivational speakers, visit college campuses, and receive life skill development information.
